Brady & Morgan: Couple’s Session

Brady and Morgan are one adorable couple! They’re just the best match together and we were eating it up during their couple’s session! Don’t believe me? Just look at their Facebook or Instagram feed for two seconds and you’ll get what I mean. Meet them and see them interact for more than a few minutes and you’ll understand. Heck, just read there story for yourself and you’ll see (we’ve got Morgan’s side of their love story for you to enjoy today)!

“Brady and I met around October of 2013. We were both involved with Cru, a Christian organization, on campus at UAB. I had just gotten out of a 4-year relationship (My ex was called from The Lord to partake in missions overseas, and that was not my calling) and Brady was in a relationship when we met. We were just friends, and I really enjoyed that!
December rolled around and I received a message on Facebook from him asking for my number, and I found out  Brady and his girlfriend broke up in November. So I gave him my number and we were just texting and really getting to know each other. Christmas break came and we did not see each other until school started back. When I saw him I started to think that he was cuter and cuter and I couldn’t help it! It just kind of happened! Then I remember him singing “Breaking Free” from High School Musical AND I WAS SOLD!!! (If you haven’t heard him sing, you’re missing out).  We started talking about deeper things than you would if you were just friends. We got to spend Valentine’s Day together, and even though it was with friends, I still had butterflies the whole night. Skip ahead to March, he asked me to his Semi-Formal with his fraternity, ATO. I said yes and the night of the formal was honestly the best night of my life! I knew that I could not let him go!!

With me being in such a long relationship before Brady, it was kind of difficult to fall into it. It was tough. This is when trusting in The Lord came into play. I constantly prayed that God would lead me where HE wanted me to go and make my life look like HE wanted it to and I would trust Him. It was really tough… I’m not going to lie! Proverbs 3:5-6 were the two verses that were my go-to’s during this phase in my life. “Trust in The Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and he shall make you path straight.” I constantly had these verses in my mind whenever I would think about us. And they came in handy.
My parents were wishy-washy about the whole situation. They kept telling me it was too soon and that I would just be hurting my ex since him and Brady were friends. But they didn’t know that Brady had actually Skyped him to get his permission to pursue a relationship with me (sigh!). Once I told them that, I believe they finally started realizing that we were serious! My family FINALLY met Brady on April 12, 2014. My mom hugged him when she first saw him, which to me was a GREAT sign! My dad seemed to like him too. So that made me super happy! I met his family; parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and all on April 13, 2014. I loved them like they were my own and I had just met them!

After we left, he was in front of me and he suddenly put on his blinker and stuck his arm out of the window signaling me to pull over at a Chevron. I had no idea what was going on! He ran over to my car and got in the passenger seat. My heart was pounding because I thought something was wrong. I still remember how it happened. He grabbed both of my hands, looked in my eyes and said, “Are you ready?” I said, “Huh? Ready for what?” Then he said, “For this. I’m ready for you to be mine. Morgan, will you please be my girlfriend?” So of course, I was grinning ear to ear and said yes! I could not stop smiling… at all! He said he was not planning on asking me so soon, but something (totally God) told him it needed to happen now and I am so glad that it did!
Here we are, almost 2 years later, falling more and more in love with The Lord and each other each and every day and I honestly could not be happier!”
