Lee is actually an old friend of Alec and myself from our days in college! When he contacted us letting us know he had met the love of his life Alec & I were absolutely thrilled! Lee’s got the sweetest and funniest personality, and chances are if you’re around him for more than five minutes he’ll flash one of his famous smiles… and it will melt your heart.
When we first met Julie we instantly saw how kind she is. The more you’re around her the more you’ll pick up on how genuine, hospitable, and gentle she is. Together, I don’t know if there are even words to describe it… they just light up. That smile Lee gets that melts hearts, that never leaves his face for very long when he’s around his bride. You can visibly see their love for one another in every little glance and giggle. We just love these two!
Their wedding was this past weekend down South in Monroeville, Alabama. A.k.a. the literary capital of Alabama (and the South) where both Julie and Haper Lee are from! Harper Lee actually based her book, To Kill a Mockingbird, off this very city. It’s small yet full of charm and it made the perfect backdrop for their wedding.
They were married at Mexia Baptist Church and their reception followed at the Vanity fair Country Club. You’re going to fall in love with these two and their big day with the most beautiful first look we’ve ever shot to the intimate father-daughter dance. Overall their day was sweet and more than anything joyful and full to the brim with respect for God.
Lee and Julie we’re so excited for the two of you and the journey you have just embarked on. We pray big, beautiful things for your marriage and that you will be an example of God’s love and grace to this world! Congrats again you two!
