The Barn at Shady Lane is one of the most beautiful venues in all of Birmingham. So when we first met up with Daniel & Lauren and they mentioned that being their venue, we knew we were going to love their wedding! We can definitely say that it didn’t disappoint and that every little detail of their wedding was just beautiful!
When we arrived the sense of joy was overwhelming. Lauren and her incredibly sweet bridesmaids spent the morning laughing, dancing, and just enjoying the day. Daniel looked incredibly dapper, and all in a suit that he proudly picked out himself! He exuded excitement and his reaction during the first look was priceless. You could see in his eyes how much he loves her and he simply brought her close with a kiss and held her tight. Really, he kept her close and looked adoringly at her that very same way throughout the night.
Their ceremony was definitely something to talk about with a unique and stunning set-up in the barn. These two met through Valleydale Baptist Church and their pastor officiated the ceremony. It was so full of grace, truth, and it was a beautiful presentation of the gospel. They are actually the first couple to meet, fall in love, and get married from the ministry!
The rest of the night was spent partying with the Heavenly Donut Company food truck, a smores bar, and lots and lots of dancing! The bridal party was one of the most fun groups we’ve had yet and they danced non-stop and had a blast! Daniel may have also busted a few moves that we won’t be forgetting any time soon! Then, instead of a traditional exit, they had everyone gather outside near the lake and release paper lanterns into the night. It was something we’d never experienced before but we have to say now it’s a new favorite!
