Lauren & Daniel’s wedding day was something special! The day began with laughter and dancing and ended in the very same manner, which is something we love. In between these moments the typical business of a wedding day ensued with bridal party portraits, couples portraits, family formals, and the like. Every wedding day flies by so quickly and in the hustle-and-bustle Alec and I do our best to take a few moments to really take in how amazing our job is. We get to be there as people stand before the Lord and their loved ones and become one on this awesome journey of marriage. We get to capture love and joy and all the special moments most other wouldn’t get to see otherwise, and we LOVE it.
During the day we had so much fun with Lauren & Daniel and the wonderful people they surround themselves with. We laughed throughout the day and got to meet a ton of incredibly kind ad joyful people, which to us itself is a day well spent. Something different happened during their wedding though, something that we’re so honored by and something that has happened more often this wedding season.
As we wrapped up their family formals we did what we always do, which is ask the bride and groom if there are any additional photos they would like to take while we had everyone there. Lauren looked at us so excited and said they only had one more important photo they wanted during that time, a photo with Alec and me! It was so special to grab a quick shot with this amazing couple and to have this to look back on. This is our absolute new favorite thing!
It’s such an honor to us to be able to be a part of such a big moment in a couple’s story. We love working with our brides and grooms to create something special and to document their love. Now, we’ve got an additional reason to be thankful for our incredible couples who have made us feel like family and who have blessed our souls with their kindness and thoughtfulness. This will forever be our favorite!!
