Michael & Emily Lauren’s engagement session was such a joy for us to shoot! Emily Lauren is a dear friend of mine and I’ve been waiting for the day she called to say she was engaged! As soon as I found out, we celebrated by wedding dress shopping over champagne. As she tried on different dresses we began to make plans for this whimsical and romantic engagement session. Now I am happy to say she found her dress and we shot this session all within the same weekend because, why not!?
Just last weekend Michael proposed in their hometown of Nashville and they still had that fresh, newly-engaged glow about them! As a result, giggles and joyous smiles were abounding, and Alec and I soaked in every last moment of it behind our cameras. I loved walking around the Birmingham Botanical Gardens with them, exploring new little places there and letting the conversation flow. Another fun fact, Emily Lauren’s engagement ring is a custom piece that Michael had made specifically for her. It is made of a stunning pink Morganite stone, a rose gold band, and a halo of 40 smaller diamonds! Can you say “woah”?! Michael did a great job, because it definitely fits her sweet and whimsical personality!
Words cannot even begin to describe the joy we have for Michael and Emily Lauren… These two people are so in love with each other and more importantly with Jesus, and it shows in everything they say and do. We’re sad that we won’t be able to be at their wedding in November, but we know these two are going to change the world with their marriage!
Blessings,
Katie
