It is no secret that we LOVE a good outdoor wedding ceremony! They have been on the up-rise in recent years & it makes our photographer hearts so happy! There is something so romantic & timeless about them. Outdoor wedding ceremonies also offer such incredible perks to our couples!
Today we thought we’d share a few reasons why we love them as wedding photographers:
All the Light
Especially if you’re wanting light & airy wedding photos, lighting is literally everything! Natural light, which means light from the sun, is the best kind of light for natural looking photos. An outdoor ceremony during the day means that you’ll have plenty of natural light. Just ask us what time of day would be best, because that does make a difference too!
Beautiful Views
There is something undeniably beautiful about nature. The views can be stunning, and can create a gorgeous backdrop for your wedding ceremony. You could choose the lake, beach, mountains, or fields as your setting and have breathtaking views. Pick somewhere that makes you happy! The natural beauty of the outdoors is so gorgeous it beats almost any indoor venue. This will enhance your wedding photos & wow your guests!
Gorgeous Weather
Outdoor wedding ceremonies can be great, especially when it’s Spring or Fall. The weather that time of year is gorgeous & who doesn’t love being able to spend time outside?! Your guests will love it! of course, we do recommend having a plan B just in case of rain.
Winter & Summer weddings outdoors can also be amazing if you plan ahead. Hand fans & shade are important for summer ceremonies. For winter ones, consider including cozy blankets, a coffee bar & the like to help warm up your guests.
The More the Merrier
Often, outdoor wedding ceremony locations can fit more people than indoor options. It’s way easier to find wide open spaces outdoors than inside. This means you can welcome more guests while fitting them all comfortably! This can be a huge perk for larger weddings. You can even flip the space for your wedding reception.
