As your wedding day quickly approaches (WHOO WHOOO!!!) things start to get busier. By the time it’s wedding week you’ll have 1,000 things happening: manicures with your girls, rehearsal dinner prep, family coming into town, etc. It seems to be never ending the amount of details you’re managing.
One thing you don’t want to let slip is planning your actual wedding day details. The easiest solution to make sure you don’t forget anything is creating a wedding day details bag. This won’t be the same as your emergency kit or luggage for your honeymoon. No, this should be a separate bag.
We suggest allowing one of your bridesmaids to make sure this bag gets to us at the start of the day. That way you don’t have to worry about where it’s at.
What this does is it will keep you organized & make sure we can get straight into detail photos. Nothing is more stressful than realizing you left something important behind. You also don’t want to have to pause your wedding day to hunt these things down.
When you’re packing it here are a few suggestions for what to include:
Perfume
All 3 Rings Including Your Engagement Ring
Your Wedding Shoes
Veil
Full Invitation Suite with Envelopes
Family Heirlooms
Jewelry You’re Wearing
Special Hangers for Your Dress &/or Your Bridesmaid’s Dresses
Any other special details you might have like your something borrowed/blue, or gifts are also great to include. We suggest the more the merrier because it gives us more to work with when we’re styling it.
Another helpful thing is to have all your bouquets delivered to your getting-ready location so we can photograph them. While you’re at it, ask your florist for extra flowers! Those blooms make gorgeous additions to your photos! An extra special tip is to ask for petals if you want epic kissing photos with your spouse later on!
Blessings,
Katie & Alec
