Talk about a classic American love story! Ashley was the captain of the majorettes at Auburn and Jake was an Auburn football photographer. He’d take pictures of all game-day activities, including the band, and then would coordinate with the captains to give their line pictures he had taken. It wouldn’t be long before they would meet.
Looking back, they really remember their first meeting being backstage for the Kesha concert at A-Day. He apparently had his eye on her from the start. One of his friends asked where he wanted to sit he specifically said by that girl, Ashley. It was a true meet cute!
He worked for GoPro and always wore their gear. That day, while he was sitting in front of her, a girl came up to her and said “Ummm, do you know how to work a GoPro?” He and Ashley made eye contact and both just started laughing. Couldn’t help it. After that, he was with his friends walking back and told them he’d be dating her by summer. He was right!
Now they’ve been together for years and they’re getting ready for marriage! We have absolutely loved getting to know them. They have such fun personalities and balance each other perfectly. Jake is outgoing, friendly and has so much energy. His stories are also the best! Ashley is calm and steady, and she keeps them on course. Together they’re just the sweetest blend!
They’ll be getting married at the gorgeous Camelot Manor this August and we just can’t wait! It is definitely going to be an incredible day getting to celebrate their love!
