Alec,
I know today is “just another day” to you, so I won’t make this a long letter, but your 30th is a big milestone. It deserves celebrating, and I can’t think of a better human to celebrate!
Thinking back on the 10+ years I have known and loved you, each one of them is a gift to me. It is weird thinking that we met as teenagers and that we’ve grown up so much together. From building our first home to traveling, you’re the only person with whom I would want to do that. Through the good times and bad, knowing that we have each other is always a gift.
Your steady nature, calm perspective, thoughtfulness, humor, and loyalty are qualities I will always cherish. You have grown in wisdom, maturity, and kindness since we met back in 2011 at UAB. Every year you get kinder, gentler, and more loving. Getting to watch how God grows you is a privilege I don’t take for granted. Getting to be your wife is the honor of my life.
Today we celebrate your 30th birthday and the amazing man you have and are becoming daily! I pray that this year is full of life, joy, and many new exciting adventures together. I can’t wait to see what all God does in you in the next 30 years. Knowing you and what you’ve already accomplished is sure to be one heck of an adventure!
