Meeting couples over Facetime is a wonderful opportunity to get to know them. Meeting them in person, though, that’s a completely different feeling. Meeting Samantha & John at Oak Mountain State Park felt like meeting up with old friends. They’re so easy to talk to and are such interesting and intelligent people. There is so much charm, grace, and kindness in them!
Oak Mountain State Park was filled with golden light, which made their session feel like a dream. We adventured around the expansive park chasing the light. As we got to know them more, what struck us was how wise and grounded they were. As we asked about them, Samantha told us she feels so safe and comforted in their relationship because it hasn’t all been easy. It’s a testament that they’re made to be together because they have weathered these storms together and grown from them, which we love! Real relationships do just that, and we can tell they’re a phenomenal match.
They also brought along their beloved pup, Indy! She’s a tri-pawed Belgian malinois, and man, is she 100% cute! She is so well-trained and made the session so much more fun with her snuggles and shenanigans. Oak Mountain State Park was like a playground for her too, so she was more than happy to be there with us.
Samantha & John will be getting married this fall at a venue that is new to us, Burns Bluff at High Falls! There is a literal waterfall that sits behind where they’re getting married. Their wedding day will be incredible between how wonderful they are and the stunning venue they chose.

Indy was a perfect little angel baby for their session! Could she be any cuter?! (The answer is no!)
This spring day could not have been any more gorgeous for this couple, and they couldn’t have been either!
