When we met up with Eric and Ashley for the very first time we instantly clicked with them. Not only are they incredibly kind and personable, but they are also what some would call “downtown people” (oh, and they love Parks and Rec!! Could they get any cooler?). We LOVE downtown Birmingham with all our hearts and we wouldn’t choose to live life anywhere else. So when they mentioned wanting to do their engagement session downtown, we couldn’t wait for it to roll around!
We met up at the new Vulcan Mural in the heart of downtown Birmingham and it couldn’t have been prettier out. There was a cool breeze and it was a perfect Spring day in Alabama. From there we found this gorgeous red fence with some greenery that made for a great backdrop, even though it was literally hiding an air conditioning unit behind it… on the edge of a parking lot! Yeah, you can say we were a little excited to find this gem where we least expected it.
We ended the day at one of Birmingham’s most iconic spots, Vulcan Park & Museum. Vulcan is always a dream, but with these two it was even prettier! Eric & Ashley are so fun together, and their love is pretty evident when you’re around them. Add in a killer sunset and we’ve still got butterflies from this shoot! We absolutely loved getting to capture these two and can’t wait to have them in front of our cameras again this October for their B&A Warehouse wedding in downtown Birmingham!
