Life Lately, an Update

Lately things have been c-r-a-z-y! In the past few weeks I have put in my two weeks notice to both of my part time jobs to fully pursue this amazing career of wedding photography that God has been calling me to. It’s been a series of very scary yet freeing decisions in response to intense prayer and a whole lot of open doors. Everywhere I’ve turned I’ve been so blessed and encouraged by the words and support of others in my life in so many ways that I never would have anticipated.

It’s been overwhelming to hear all the love from people in my life and to know that so many people are following and believing in Alec and I in this journey. This is never what we had planned for ourselves, and in fact, its so much better than anything we could have dreamed up on our own.

On top of this big jump we’ve had 5 shoots in the past five days fulfilling some big dreams and even checking one of the five big goals Alec and I have set for our business this year. We’ve shot ministry shoots, improv theater, engagements, a wedding, the Outcry Tour Birmingham stop, and did our first ever styled shoot this month and its barely halfway through April (oh, and today we shot Alec’s little brother’s prom photos!)!

We can barely believe we’ve packed all this in but it’s been such a joy and so much fun being challenged to grow and stretch ourselves as creatives and entrepreneurs. It’s been a whirlwind of blessings and pure exhaustion and we are living every minute of it. Now we just plan on resting, working on editing, and spending time being with our family and friends until our next several weddings and engagement sessions!

To anyone who is reading this, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for investing into this small dream turned into a beautiful reality, for supporting Alec and I in every way, and for showing us so much more love than we could ever deserve. We love you and appreciate you!

Blessings,

Katie

On top of that, they made sure all of the poses were natural and felt comfortable to us. It was such a fun, relaxed experience with them and my husband!”

"From the engagement session to our wedding day, they captured the details that are important to us.
