We LOVE it when our couples book lighter-colored or all-white wedding venues. It pairs so well with our wedding photography style, making our images even more light and dreamy. Thankfully, we’ve got so many bright Birmingham wedding venues we get to work with! Here are our top 10 picks for you to see:
A gorgeous all-white Southern home with a wrap-around porch? Yes, please!! The Sonnet House is a gorgeous piece of property in Leeds that offers so much! They’ve got multiple sites to get married at from the gorgeous outdoor stage surrounded by greenery to the arbor hidden away behind the cypress trees. There’s no wonder it’s been voted the best in Birmingham so many times! We also have to say, we love that it has a large getting ready suite for both the bride and groom. Plus, it’s known for the outdoor dance floor covered with string lights. It’s the perfect spot to celebrate your marriage!
This venue is something special in the heart of downtown Birmingham. It’s within a mile of Railroad Park, the Birmingham Bridges, Morris Avenue, and much more. It’s got two floors, which are both gorgeous, so you can host your ceremony and reception in one space. The beautiful lace-looking staircase is another great focal point. Perhaps the best part of it, though, is the skylights upstairs that allow for a lot of beautiful natural light to flow in.
Who doesn’t love a classic country club wedding? The Mountain Brook Club is a luxurious venue nestled into the heart of Mountain Brook. With the rolling hills, the gorgeous reception space, and an outdoor ceremony space that overlooks it all it’s a great choice! They also offer generous getting-ready spaces for both the bride and groom and so much space to spread out during your reception.
We’ve got to say that what we love most about the Roots & Revelry Ballroom are the windows! They take up half of the space, allowing in so much natural light! It’s a huge space, so it’s perfect for a larger wedding. It’s also great if you need to move your wedding inside due to rain because the light is just that good. Another perk of this venue is its proximity to everything downtown.
Okay, this one is a personal favorite of all our wedding venue picks. The Florentine Building offers a European vibe with gorgeous architecture, pale blue ceilings, and all the chandeliers. It also offers so much space and has both an upstairs & a downstairs you could choose from. Not to mention all the windows here that also offer a ton of natural light (clearly, we have an affinity for that! It just makes photos so much prettier!). The Florentine is another one of the amazing downtown Birmingham venues that are close to so much. It’s not far off of the interstate, which makes it a great spot if you’re getting married at a church nearby to host your wedding reception.
There’s just something about an old Southern home with a porch that gets our hearts beating faster! Camelot Manor is just that; it offers a killer ceremony location. They just built a gorgeous addition with an all-white Pavillion and matching all-white floors. With all the surrounding greenery, it is such a beauty to behold! We also love that this space has a large open field next to it for sunset photos. This beautiful wedding venue is down Highway 280 near Chelsea, which makes it a unique space compared to the other wedding venues we have mentioned.
There’s just something about a golf course. Vestavia Hills Country Club is a dream venue for us because it’s not only a gorgeous golf course but also so light and airy! With its soft grey color and gorgeous covered front porch, it’s the best of all our favorite things. It has a gorgeous reception space, and the porch has beautiful arches that make for stunning photos. Golf courses photograph so beautifully as well! We can’t wait to work here one day!
Alright, now we wanted to highlight some Alabama wedding venues that aren’t too far away. Both are within an hour of Birmingham, so we didn’t feel like they fit the “Birmingham” list, but we wanted to mention them because they’re far too beautiful and special not to.
Hamilton Place at Pursell Farms
Talk about luxury. Pursell Farms is an Alabama treasure! It’s a coveted golf course destination in Sylacauga with an on-site hotel, restaurants, and spa. It’s got everything you could be looking for in a wedding venue: an outdoor ceremony spot overlooking the water, a gorgeous reception space, space to get ready for both the bride and groom and unique mountain overlooks. Plus, your guests from out of town can stay right on the property and get a luxurious experience without having to drive between venues.
Okay, this venue is amazing for many reasons, but one of them is their incredible owners! Joy & Katie are two of the kindest souls on the planet, and they care so much about making your wedding day incredible. This white farmhouse-inspired wedding venue near Talladega is a unique space in Alabama! It’s got both an outdoor and indoor ceremony and reception space, a massive and luxurious bridal suite, and a groom suite downstairs, and it is just plain gorgeous. You seriously can’t go wrong with Oak Meadow.
Ridge Pointe is a new event venue located in tranquil Alpine, Alabama. They have a beautiful 40-acre property with a separate home to get ready in and then the ceremony and reception barn. Our favorite part is how the ceremony and reception space are connected but feel completely separate so your guests get the wow factor of walking into your reception space while it is fresh and untouched!
